Mutt Bunnies
Most rabbitry sites focus only on purebred rabbits. Just because a rabbit doesn't have a pedigree does not mean that it doesn't deserve some recognition. Therefore, we decided to share with you our "mutt bunnies" because they are rabbits, too!
Nibbles is a Mini Rex mix. She used to go to boarding school with me, where she lived in the science classroom and received lots of attention. She is a beautiful rabbit, and she knows it.
Anakin is also a Mini Rex mix and is from the same litter as Nibbles and Vader. He used to run away from us all the time, but lately he has actually been letting us pet him.
Vader was named before we found out she was a doe, and it stuck with her. We almost never see her because she is always hiding. She only comes out when we clean her hutch, and even then we can't touch her.
Crystal is such a mutt bunny that we aren't even sure what breed she mostly is, except that she is some sort of lop mix. When we first got her, she would attack us whenever we would try to feed or pet her. Now she is a sweet bunny as long as you don't touch her face.
We got Jackie, our Netherland Dwarf mix, from a friend of Alice's who was moving and couldn't take him with him. He is a very brave rabbit who tries to pick fights with the cats and, occasionally, the dogs.
